- I never could get the demo PPP working with TIA, and besides CSLIP is just as
- fast as the registered version of PPP anyway so why pay for ppp? AmiTCP works,
- but was a Pain in the butt to setup, and I really didn't want to register it.
- Not for the price there asking. I could live with the Requester anyway.
-
- I tryed out Miami when it first had a DEMO Release of the config program, I
- tryed it with TIA, and couldn't get it working right with DNS's. There was just
- a setting for SLIRP so I wrote a message about the problem, the following day
- TIA was also added. It's using PPP, everything worked GREAT with the latest
- Demo Release, I'm pleased. The program is SOOOOOOOOO simple to setup.
-
- I hope it can somehow make the program access TIA to get the DNS address,
- because you can if you do a tia -address command, it'll then show them, if Miami
- can access tia like that, get the DNS's numbers and enter them for you, that
- would be killer. If not, as least a little Text in the setup window so you know
- how to do it to get the DNS Numbers yourself.
-
- The way it's looking, I'm going to Register this one for sure! Sure would like
- to Beta Test the program though. I'd still register anyway.
-
- AS for it using MUI! Who cares. I like MUI. If the program is written
- correcly your not going to have crashing problems and then blame MUI for them.
- The BetaDemo seemed fast to me, I don't think speed in the Configuration GUI is
- all that Important anyway. Fast screen updates wouldn't be requiered
- anyway,like say a Web Browser anyway.
-
- All I can say is I'm impressed so far. Simple to setup, Nice GUI, and at a Fair
- Price. What more could you ask for?
